Terri Morris – In Need of Wellies

Terri here with my first blog post of 2019. I’m super excited to see what all the other DT have been up to this month with their cut files. My focus today is on one of the Pre cut Paige Evans Cut files available on the website. I chose to use the ‘Galoshes’ cut file in white card stock. You get a pair of wellies from the cut file, one boot with spots and one that is plain.
I chose to use the spotted one and back filled it with patterned paper from the Pretty Little Studio ‘Savannah Dreams’ collection. To make the wellie pop off the page I added ink using the packaging technique to the background cardstock. 3D foam was also added to the back of the wellie to create dimension on the page.
Black and White photos allowed me to use photos where the colours didn’t match the supplies I wanted to use (the coach was actually orange and green!). Mixing 3 different alphabet styles creates a funky title.
When using a large cut file as a focal point I don’t like to add too many embellishments. Sporadic raindrop embellishments add to the page’s story and theme. I’m really pleased with how this page turned out, it was exactly what I had envisaged in my head.
Thanks for joining me over on the blog today, there will be loads more inspiration shared throughout the rest of the year. Don’t forget to follow us on Facebook and Instagram.
Happy Scrapping!
