Yes – Frilly Flower Head Cut File
A few days ago I shared a layout using half of a pre-backed cut file and said I would be back to show you what happened to the other half so here it is! This frilly flower head cut file (pre-cut here) was backed with a patterned vellum over the whole piece and then cut in half and used over the 2 layouts for speedy results. And yes this is a layout about an animal skull Luigi was excited to find in the forest.

I think I actually did this one first. I based it on a Scrap Squad scrap lift (Lockdown Day 2) and changed the doily for the half cut file. I knew I only needed half but backing the whole cut file with one piece is a really quick way to add a pretty layer so I knew I could easily use the other part.

I love using vellum behind a cut file because it can help to tone down a background without losing any of the beautiful design. I distressed some of the edges of the patterned paper layers and then started to add my embellishments.

I used a few pieces from the Truly Grateful die cut pack from Paige Evans to match the papers and finished off with some Bramble Fox Perspextives, some resin flowers and even a button – how retro!?
Have a great weekend!
