Hi hi!

It’s time for another What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday headed up by the lovely Julia over at The Stamping Ground. All artists, crafters & enablers welcome! It’s a flying visit from me this week as I’m off to Wales tomorrow morning for a few days to put our in-laws’ house back on the market. Last time we tried, it was on the market for 3 weeks before Covid hit. *sigh

So – to my desk! What chaos?! The craftermath / art sediment of the weekend still reigns supreme as I’m still trying to get some more challenges done before the deadline passes. I’ve been trying to combine several challenges but as I often do, I start a challenge with certain parameters, plunge ahead with the layout, and then afterwards realise that I’ve strayed too far from the brief! The layout in progress here is for 2 different challenges involving rainbow colours and pastels plus a scraplift, plus a recipe challenge! The layout on top of that one with the blue corners is for a sketch challenge, a recipe challenge, and one to use a random item! I loved that! The stack of scrap paper in the clipboard is holding all my notes for the different challenges and which layout does with which one – it’s a military operation I tell ya!

Last week’s Throwback Thursday is from 2015 using Shimelle’s True Stories collection. The title refers to our BIG day out at Beaulieu where we met Jaws from the Bond films (Richard Kiel – lovely man) and then saw a monster truck show where Big Foot trampled a whole line of cars – fun indeed!

I’m hoping to get to see the lovely Lunch Lady Jan on my travels this weekend for a socially distanced walk so with any luck we shall have windswept photos to share next week! In the meantime, pop the kettle on, I’m on my way!

Stay safe and keep smiling x

good luck with selling the house. and getting your challenges done – I’ve given up with them!! lack of time to dedicate to them is my excuse. Love the Big Day Out layout. Helen #4

aw Beaulieu. We don’t go enough, it’s right on our door step…by a few miles, and its always so busy! Hubby likes the Auto jumbles because, then it’s cheaper to get in! Love the page, always nice to remember! Stay Safe, keep crafting have a Happy WOYWW!? ((Lyn)) #6

I’ve also combined two challenges last week just to get ahead of myself. It’s a good way to save time and still participate, although I always think it’s a bit of a cop-out but the end justifies the means! Great layout and how wonderful that you can meet up with our lovely LLJ! Would love to see some photos! Happy WOYWW! xx zsuzsa #20

Your desk looks like you enjoyed your weekend crafting, lol! You do have some lovely papers and I like the way the photos are enhanced rather than dominated by the LO. Will message you about the weekend!

Hi Lisa Jane. Have a wonderful weekend here in the homeland!!! Heading near Jan – a beautiful part of the country. Enjoy! But oh my word – how complex is all that planning to make one layout do for so many challenges… I don’t think my brain would cope…
    Take care. God bless.

I hope the house sale goes OK, Lisa Jane. What a worry it must have been, suddenly being locked down and not being able to do anything about it all this time. Your desk always holds such pretty papers and things!

    Happy WOYWW,

Oh well done. I didn’t do any scrapbooking over the weekend and don’t feel that changing soon, so off the boil! a hope the journey and the business part of going to Wales all goes smoothly, property here is changing hands really fast, so I hope it’s the same for your Ma in Laws property. I hope you can meet up with Alan, but be warned, she may call it a walk, but her stride is long…you will be running to keep up!!

  15. Julia Budd on 6 May 2021 at 7:56 am

Ofgs, auto text. You probably don’t want to meet Alan. But if you meet JAN, take my advice!!

  16. Diana Taylor on 6 May 2021 at 9:03 am

What a great layout – I used to work at Beaulieu, it’s a great place, and how lucky to see Jaws too – very exciting.
Have a great week and enjoy your visit with Jan.

Best of luck with the house. My sister is just about to exchange, I hope. The surveyor told my sister’s buyer there was damp, so the buyer sent a builder along to assess it. He couldn’t find any! He also told the buyer the front cladding should be replaced with plastic. There is nothing wrong with it, but he still thought it should be replaced! House selling is a nightmare sometimes. Have a great trip to Wales Angela #23

Good luck with the house sale, people are managing but there’s a whole new level of hardness with all the Covid restrictions. I am on the fence about challenges these days – I just don’t like the restriction. If I think -‘oh yes’, in the first five minutes it’ll get done. Otherwise there’s no chance and I can’t remember what day it is let lone month these days. Have a good week, stay safe, stay well, love n hugs Cindy #14

I remember trying to get a lot of challenges done in one layout… it was difficult and those never were my best layouts… I do like the one you show, ‘an oldie’ you say, but still fabulous! Thanks for visiting my blog the other day, have a nice and relaxed weekend! Hug from Holland. Marit #28

  22. Susan Renshaw on 7 May 2021 at 11:53 am

Trying to catch up on commenting – it is already Friday! The problem is because we are 9 hours in front I can’t manage it on Wednesday and then the time just flies!
Good luck with all those challenges! Love the throwback LO. Must have been a lovely day out!
    Happy WOYWW!

Thank you for your visit, Lisa-Jane, and for your kind words. I saw the nurse at the surgery yesterday and she’s referred me to the breast unit, and says I should be seen within a fortnight which is good news. I’m not worrying about it but just taking things a day at a time. Sorry to hear about your poor apple trees! How awful to get squashed by a falling oak tree! Our little tree is an absolute star and produces masses every year. I hope you manage to get some pears this year, anyway. Mum and Dad had a pear tree where they used to live but the pears were terribly hard.

Good Luck with the house sale – we have just successfully found a house for my daughter after a year of hunting!! Lovely to see your work space and layout – I am just back after 8 years away and I love seeing all the crafty people – Cheers Maurs #33 xxx

Hi Lisa-Jane! I’m very late this week, apologies, but I hope you enjoyed your trip to Wales, and that the house sells quickly. For some reason, real estate is booming here during COVID, my daughter and her hubby bought their first house back in February. Your layout is lovely, sounds like a day to remember! Take care, Lindart #34
