WOYWW 581

I’d like to say that there has been much actual crafting activity this week but alas, I cannot. I do however have an actual make to share at last though.

But first the desk as it is of course our regular day for sharing our craft areas. It’s easy to join in – head over to see Queen of the desks, young Julia.

There has been sorting again of course, because that’s mostly all I can manage at the moment with the depression and anxiety still very much dominating everything. I filed a huge stack of 87 layouts and some of my albums are now bulging at the seams so I’ve ordered a few more (this is like buying lightbulbs for me… necessary, but not exciting, and I pay the money begrudgingly). In trying to make more room on my unit I suddenly decided to sort out my Christmas albums in a fit of pique.

The 4 piles at the back are 4 different years, all of which need the last few days entries, plus all the journalling of course. The album, bag and basket at the front are all from 2015 and I’ve decided to take this little lot with me on our next trip to Wales (tomorrow!)

This was one of the layouts I was working on last week that was finally finished. For some reason Luigi’s cheeks are looking even more rosy in this pic than the actual picture that I scrapped.

The layout was made from a Go Go Getaway kit that I’ve had since last October’s retreat so another project moved from the “to do” to the “done” which is great.

I even managed to use a few of the tiny bits that ended up on the floor the other week so that’s another win. It’s all about the little wins right now.

Time for a cuppa I think – if you’re linked up for the desk share I’m on my way!

Love the tiny triangles as the background to that layout Lisa-Jane, it’s such a good idea and looks great too. Enjoy your visit to Wales and hope you get the album sorted while you are there. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #?

Wow, Lisa-Jane, I’m not sure I would even be able to locate a basket with bits in it from 2015…my god you’re definitely making a win!! I actually think that sorting and organising is a big tick for helping with depression, the satisfaction is great. Also, I haven’t managed that many LOs in lockdown, thought i was going well on something over thirty!! Hope you and your Christmas albums manage to find each other whilst you’re in Wales, it’s just the sort of job I’d take with me and not even get out of the case!! Have a lovely few days, very jealous. X

Wow, that’s a stack of LO’s. I know what you mean about albums. I used to have one for each year but now they are just mixed which I prefer. Love your little Xmas albums. I loved doing this and managed a couple of years but then got lazy and started and never finished.
Have a lovely time in Wales, whatever the weather a change of scene is good at the minute.
    Enjoy your week

Gorgeous page , adorable photo and fab papers. That is the downside of scrap booking isn’t it – Having to buy more albums and then storing them- I have So many now but like you I need to buy another album or two. Have a great week. Soojay #14

Hi Lisa-Jane, what an impressive pile of pages!! I know what you mean about the albums, I keep mine in keepsake boxes now as some of them are so fat and it works out cheaper than albums, doesn’t work for pocket pages though. Love that page with Luigi, it’s really fun – I just recently finished off that same kit from GoGo. Hard to imagine we’ll ever be able to have weekends like that again at the moment isn’t it, but I’m sure we will in the end 🙂 Annie C #17

That’s a LOT of pages, Lisa-Jane!! Luigi is utterly adorable… Such a sweet layout, too. Well done. I am so sorry to hear you are struggling so much with your mental health issues at present and hope you have some relief soon. I am sure the crafting is therapeutic for you.

Thank you for your visit and your kind words about my outfits and tiny carpets! I am so enjoying doing them.

Take care of yourself, and happy WOYWW,

Lisa-Jane that’s a lot of layouts. I too hate forking over the cash to pay for albums. I like looking at them but hate the high prices. I recently started smaller albums so the prices are bit less but not nearly enough in my opinion! Your layout is so cute. I have been away from scrapbooking so long but enjoying sticking my foot in again. Thanks for stopping by. I am making rounds today!

Happy Belated WOYWW. Hopefully you are settled in Newport now and getting some sunshine. I am on my new iPad now. Don’t have to sit in my craft room to use my pc. That is is a big pile of LOs. One reason why I love digital scrapping. Ali x. #28
