I just about made it for another Wednesday desk share.

This was as I walked away from it last night – unsure as to whether the layout is finished or not. My layouts never feel finished unless I add a few sprinkles of enamel dots, paint, sequins or gems etc.

I’ve been inspired by the other deskers working on UFOs and now that I’ve paused my Christmas album and I have nothing pressing, I can start to clear a few of the unfinished gremlins. This layout wasn’t one of them, but top left you can see 3-4 layouts that needed a final step because they were classes from a Go Go Retreat that I hadn’t quite finished. Now that they are all complete I am using up the leftovers so I cobbled this layout together from bits and pieces left from the kits – no plan, no sketch, no cut file, no brain. I’m on a very low dose of a drug that floored me in the past but I felt it was worth trying again now that I don’t have tiny people to look after. I’m rather zombie like some of the time so I half expected to return to this layout and find all kinds of nightmares! But I like it – as I said, it just needs the sprinkles.

I’d love to see your desk / workspace / whatever too. It’s easy to join in. Head over to Julia’s blog (The Stamping Ground) and link up. See you there!

Your LOs are so pretty!! It’s a real skill, knowing when to stop and I don’t think I have it, lol. Always room for a bit more bling and sparkle in my opinion 😉

Morning Lisa-Jane. I love your layouts. I like white space around things!! Yes, maybe a few little sprinkles… not much – and there’s more UFOs finished. I like the way you have called them unfinished gremlins – My hubby always called them unfinished symphonies! His principle was that if Schubert could have them, so could I.
I do trust the medication works for you – and that you will soon feel like yourself.
Take care. Stay safe. God bless.

Fabulous layouts – they are both really lovely and I guess a lot of us have the same problem of deciding when something is ‘done’! I usually discover it actually was finished after I’ve added that one last something that I shouldn’t have done!
I hope you soon adjust to your new medication and get back to feeling less zombie- ish (don’t think that’s a word but you know what I mean!)

I am not a scrapper so I don’t know how easy or hard it is to call a halt to something you have done but I do know that I like this and would feel it is enough to walk away from. I like the way you have placed the photo to the top left and the main decoration to the bottom right hand corner, it looks well balanced to meI like it!

My cobbled together LOs aren’t as successful as that! Hope the meds will help, as you say, now the littles aren’t quite so dependant, it ‘s worth a try. I like that you have found yourself with less to rush around and do – thats got to be better for you anyway, and the luxury of tackling a few UFOs is let’s face it, one of life’s deeply satisfying experiences! WOW super scrappages, I don’t often indulge in just one of two photos as I have so many to put in albums but when I do I’d like to do them as super as yours.
    Thanks for the visit BJ#15

Hi Lisa-Jane, sorry for the late visit. I’ve done a little scrapbooking, and have lots more to do, but I think we are all alike – about whether a LO is finished. I’m the same with cards sometimes, so I tend to leave things unassembled and look at them a couple of days later to decide if they need anything more. A bit of bling or enamel dots finishes most things off nicely for me. Have a lovely week and stay safe and well, Heather xx #4

I think you’ve got your layouts just about perfect. Lisa-Jane. There’s nothing better than a good bit of white space to show off the design, and you’ve got really good balance there. I agree about a bit of bling! I’m also a texture junkie and love the touchy-feely stuff! I do hope your new medication will help you. Sometimes it’s just a question of getting the dose right – enough to be effective but not so much that it turns you into a zombie!!

    Happy belated WOYWW,
