What a year!
Hi hi!
One of the things that has kept me going this year, (and helped to give me a time anchor!), have been the Go Go Getaway cyber crops. Obviously all crops and retreats have had to be suspended but many have moved on-line and I am so grateful for technology that has allowed us to stay in touch and have this kind of interaction.

This layout was for the January cyber crop, which was a sketch challenge which worked perfectly for me. I’ve completed my December journal (more on that in another post) and on top of the brief day by day events I always choose a few photos to create on 12×12 pages for my normal yearly albums.

This particular sketch was great for using up some of the bits from a “nearly done” kit. The small blocks were great for using scraps and you could use up lots of leftover die-cuts and stickers around the layout so it was great for stash busting. Each square is double layered and distressed and then I’ve embellished each one, alternating puffy shapes and smaller stickers with larger sticker clusters which have been popped up onto foam. I’ve tucked a journalling card behind the photos to explain the random photos.

The Bramble Fox title “What a Year!” was perfect to highlight two daft pictures from Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Somehow we had lost / got rid of, most of our stockings and we only realised when we went to bed on Christmas Eve. Normal people would employ the pillowcase technique but it didn’t even cross our minds. We had both somehow used Poundland carrier bags to store the stocking presents in so at least they matched!

Then on Christmas Day we managed to get my in-laws to actually use Zoom for the first time – except that we could only see Grandma’s forehead throughout and Grandpa was sitting way out of the shot! How very 2020…
Bye for now!
