UKSA Stamping Technique – Be The Rainbow
Over at UK Scrap Addicts this month we are looking at stamping techniques but we’re a bit thin on the ground so I’m sharing this layout from a few months ago that I didn’t get around to sharing at the time.

I actually created the layout at a Go Go Getaway retreat for a challenge about using art crayons. I forgot mine so Essie Jane (also on the UKSA team) kindly lent me her Distress Crayons, which I had never used. She suggested I use them as a stamp and here we are!

I was working on a set of layouts about a visit to a craft studio to pass the time during a very very wet school summer holiday. I was using the Pink Paislee Hello Sunshine collection which has lots of raindrops, boots and rainbows (so is perfect for right now!) and lots of lovely colours to echo the painting in the pictures.

We got a teeny border stamp pack in the retreat kit which had 4 different patterns in so I layered them up using different colours. I really love the effect! I definitely want to use this techniques again, but I always say that and then I forget again…

I think they add just the perfect amount of detail and interest and a little pop of subtle colour. It was the perfect set of fun stamps for this arty themed layout too.
Do you use much stamping on your layouts? We’d love to see!
