Tracy Service – I think Elise is Happy
Tracy –
For this page I have used the Paige Evans cut file ‘star wreath’ which is available in ‘pre-cut’ form in white, black, premium white or cream and also as a stitched file.
I’ve backed the stars using papers from the 6×6 pad from the ‘In Bloom’ collection from Papermania. 6×6 pads are great for backing cut files with because the patterns are smaller and denser and you don’t mind cutting into a small piece!
The background is a combination of some smooshed watercolours and some splats of watercolours. I’ve then raised up the backed cut file onto foam pads to give it texture and dimension before mounting my photo onto more pieces from the 6×6 pad.
I’ve added some different coloured and sized gems, of course and the ‘happy’ is from a Thickers set called crique/circo. The small black letters are from Hobbycraft.
Cut files like this are also a great way to use up your scraps and stretch the last pieces of a favourite collection. Definitely a great stash busting technique!
With love and colour
