Tracy Service – Every Great Dream
We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! We have a gorgeous page from Tracy to welcome everyone back after all the festivities.
Tracy says:
For this page I have used the Paige Evans Dream Catcher cut file which is available pre-cut in black, cream or white.
To put some colour onto it I have used water colour paints sploshed on randomly – it makes it look like it is cut on patterned paper so you can match your pre-cut files to whatever else you want to use.
I’ve used marabou feather behind the bottom of the die cut in soft pink and white and then behind the cut feathers I have used dyed guinea fowl feathers in colours that match the paints I used. This gives a beautiful texture and a real point of difference to the layout, as well as echoing the whole theme.
I’ve stamped my title using tiny letter stamps onto white card and stuck them to my page. A few gems (of course) and some enamel shapes from the whimsical collection by Pink Paislee add a nice little touch, I think.
The photo of my granddaughter (aged 10 days) is backed with paper also from the whimsical collection and some scrunched up white tissue to soften the harsh edge of the patterned paper. I finished the edge with a hand drawn green border, I usually do this in black but this time I wanted it softer. I love the whole dreaminess of this layout and how everything is gentle and light.
With love and colour
