Tracy Service – Be Proud, Be Strong

Hi everyone, it’s Tracy here sharing my latest project and today I’ve used the gorgeous Paige Evans Peacock die cut in black.

I mounted the cut file onto white card and then cut around it – I knew I was going to use glitter on this page but I didn’t want to do it straight onto my 12×12 in case it went wrong (too much glue, too messy!) I applied PVA glue to each different coloured area in turn and sprinkled over ultra fine glitter and coloured sand in various shades of pink. My daughter has pink hair at the moment and although the photo is in black and white I know that it goes with her hair.

I’ve backed the photo with papers from the Pink Paislee Whimsical 6×6 pad by Paige Evans. To give a bit of depth to the page I’ve mounted both the photo and peacock onto 3d foam. Next I added some phrases from a sticker sheet by Pretty Little Studio called ‘Good Things’ that went with the theme of the page.

I decided that it needed even more pink glitter and I found the perfect alphabet at a discount store on my travels! A simple doodled boarder with hearts and a few gems finished off this simple page about my daughter who’s having a rough time but coming through it, and beginning to sparkle again.
