Together – Bed of Roses Cut File

Welcome to a new blog post crafty friends! I’m kicking off this week with a layout using the Bed of Roses cut file (pre-cut here).

This was created during one of my #the100dayproject sessions (which have recently fallen by the way side a bit). I had a stack of photos from a dog walk, the Truly Grateful collection by Paige Evans, and my blunder box of cut files gone wrong. I headed over to the Scrap Squad Facebook group to see what scrap lifts peaked my interest.

I came across their challenge for their Lockdown Day 10, which originally came from Stuck? Sketches by Mandy Melville and it was perfect for one of my photos from the pile. The original had a muted patterned paper background that I replaced with one of my mis-cut files and I love the effect that the white on white gives.

Once the main elements were in place, I was able to follow the sketch to place a few die-cuts and embellishments around the page with some popped up on foam for dimension and texture. I even managed to use some of my resin flowers and I think the finish things off perfectly.
