Terri Morris – Time For Tea

Hi there, Terri here with this beautiful ‘Tea Cup Flowers 2’ cut file designed by Paige Taylor Evans. This is available in the shop as a pre cut design and can be purchased in white, black or cream cardstock. Premium White is my go to when adding mixed media directly on to the designs.

As soon as I saw this cut file I knew it would be perfect to document my fiancé’s love of tea. On our recent trip to Northern India we loved having a Masala Chai break and I managed to capture plenty of photos of it.

I backed the teacup with patterned paper and then painted the flowers and leaves with a selection of Shimmerz paints. I’m loving the sparkle these paints create and how easy they are to use. Simply shake, open and paint. So many wonderfully vibrant colours to choose from too. I don’t have many (at the moment) so I borrowed a friends at a recent retreat.

The main collection used on this layout is the Dear Lizzy ‘It’s All Good’ collection. This was one of those ranges that I wasn’t so keen on when I saw it online but in real life the colour scheme is really lovely. Although how bonkers is that random floral flamingo!

As the cut file is such a bold statement on the page I have used minimal embellishments, simply a few stickers and acrylic pieces here and there.
