Terri Morris – Journey

Terri back with another layout from my trip to Jordan last year. When I saw the lovely ‘Journey’ cut file in the shop I knew exactly which photo I wanted to use with it.

This cute little dog followed our group all round our desert walk in Wadi Rum. I suspect it was hoping for food but we didn’t have any.

I created a mixed media background using silver texture paste through a stencil and then splatters of paint created by mixing water with gelatos.
I cut the journey from white cardstock and then simply backed it with a piece of patterned paper from the Pinkfresh Studio Indigo Hill 2 collection in a contrasting shade to the background. You could choose to do each letter individually with different patterned paper but for this layout I didn’t want to detract from the photo or background.

I kept the decoration pretty simple adding in a few die cuts, puffy stickers and enamel dots from the same collection.
