Terri Morris – Jingle Bells

The festive season is now in full swing and I’ve got something a little different this month using one of the brilliant Christmas cut files. I’ve created a festive art journal page in my Dylusions art journal.

I used the Simple Christmas Tree cut file and resized it to approximately 9×7 inches. I then used the inner Christmas tree shape as a mask.

I added Tim Holtz Distress Oxides in Lucky Clover and Twisted Citron using a blending tool round the edge of the cut file.

To add more detail I stamped festive icons and phrases using the same Distress Oxides along with grey, red and brown. I overlapped the stamps on to the Christmas tree mask so when it was removed the bold Christmas Tree shape was clearly visible. I added faux stitching in black pen to out line the tree shape also.

I finished off by adding coloured stamped images and a sentiment. Then just a dash of glitter to create some festive sparkle!
