Terri Morris – December Documenting

Terri says:
Oh Christmas tree …
As we head in to the festive period lots of our thoughts are around documenting the month of December. For the third year I am planning to participate in daily documentation of the season. I choose to do a mix of styles between Ali Edwards December Daily and Shimelle’s Journal your Christmas so I have a mix of documenting specific stories and also traditions around Christmas in my album.
This is the second year I have created numbers to co-ordinate throughout the album. Lisa-Jane has designed the cutest Christmas Tree numbers that I have chosen to use for each day/story.
I’ve kept the numbers quite simple, cutting them out of kraft cardstock, backed in patterned paper and outlined in black pen. I’ll add them to journal cards and also to photos as I print them out.
The kraft is great at standing out from the background but also doesn’t completely draw the eye away from the patterned paper behind it as you can see on the layout above.
Not only are the numbered trees added to the journal pages I have also created shaker pockets with my fuse tool. To create these I have backed the numbered trees with a plain (non numbered) tree so the back is covered as it is seen from the other side of the pocket. Added sequins to the pocket create the shaker idea and some bling.
I’ll be back later in the month with some more foundation pages ready for the festive season to commence.
Happy Crafting!
