Terri Morris – December Documenting Foundations

Terri says:
Good Foundations…
As I mentioned in my previous blog post, this is my third year documenting my December and Christmas antics. Last year was the first year I created some foundation pages and it worked pretty well, allowing me to complete my pages in the short amount of time available in this busy time of year.
Pretty My Page has some fabulous cut files to help with your festive pocket scrapbooking. I’ve backed this 6×8 Diagonal Stars cut file with gold glitter cardstock and then with black and white checked paper. I’ll add a small photo to this page along with a few small pieces of embellishment to finish it off.
Kraft cardstock is going to be a main feature in my album so I have chose to cut everything from the same colour. I took the coffee cup from the 3×4 hot beverages cut file backed it with patterned paper and white cardstock for the lid.
The 6×8 layout in the photo shows how I have added the coffee cup to its own pocket and co-ordinated it with my foundation pages and the numbered Christmas Trees available on the website.
I took the coffee cup 3×4 card and again backed it in patterned paper. I cut the snowflake decorations from white cardstock (included in the cut file design).
The cut file also includes a 3×4 card with a hot chocolate mug and a separate mug.
How cute are these little gingerbread men in the 3×4 Christmas Treats cut file. I created a simple shaker pocket with the 3×4 card and some sequins.
I resized the gingerbread men so that 2 would fit in the pocket, added in some sequins and sealed with the fuse tool to create a shaker pocket as I did previously with the 3×4 card.
The cut file also includes a 3×4 card with a candy cane and a separate candy cane.
Happy Crafting!
