Terri Morris – Dead Sea Swim – Paige Evans Seashell Cut file

Terri here, I’m back with another summer inspired layout (although the photos were actually taken in January 2018). This Seashell cut file designed by Paige Evans is brilliant for creating a striking focal point to your layouts. It is available in the shop as a pre cut file in a variety of different cardstocks. I chose my go to, which is white.

I covered the shell in a good coat of gesso to protect the cardstock and give some texture for the Shimmerz paints to grip to. I used mostly Bubblegum pink and Pink-o de mayo Shimmerz. Both painted on with a brush on to the cut file and then splatters both on the shell and the background. To tie in the blue from the photos I also added splashes of blue mist .

The shell was then attached to the cardstock background using foam pads to give dimension. I matted two photos from our trip to the Dead Sea in Jordan on to patterned paper at a jaunty angle, overlapping them slightly.

To continue with the beach theme I used stickers and ephemera from the Crate Paper Maggie Holmes ‘Sunny Days’ collection along with some fish acrylic pieces. I used foam pads with some of the ephemera to add depth on top of the seashell.

Thank you for joining me on the blog today, don’t forget to share any of your creations using cut files from Pretty My Page. Tag us on Instagram and Facebook as we love to see your work.
Happy Crafting!
