Terri Bonfire

Terri here with a layout looking back at Bonfire Night last year. We love to head out on a cold crisp night to a local bonfire and fireworks display. This is one of my favourite layouts to date and super simple.

This ‘Scene it – Bonfire Night’ cut file has the fireworks at the top of the page and a strip of flames at the bottom. I chose to just cut out the fireworks at the top to create focus on the page.

The photos were matted on patterned paper and then layered on top of a strip of silver dotted vellum. The coloured thickers used for the title are from the Shimelle ‘Box of Crayons’ collection along with the patterned paper and embellishments. The colour scheme worked perfectly with what I wanted to achieve on such a bare white background. My tip would be not to be afraid of leaving white space, it really can make all the difference to your layouts.

I added in a few glittery star enamel dots and foam shapes in co-ordinating colours as a final flourish of colour on the white background.
