Sarah Packer – Every Great Dream

Sarah:

I absolutely love the Paige Evans Star of Stars cut file and I knew it would be the perfect backdrop for the photos of my little man asleep in his rocker chair! Crazy boy!

I decided to heat emboss the star, (available in pre-cut form in white, cream or black) to make it twinkle! I used silver embossing powder as a base and then added some blue for a pop of colour.

I dug out one of my favourite Shimelle collections, Starshine, as again I knew it would work perfectly with the star theme. I cut the little tags from one of the cut apart sheets and added some twine to them all, then mounted my photos on to them.

I raised the cut file up on foam pads to give it some dimension on the page. I didn’t want to use too much patterned paper/embellishments, as I had used a patterned paper for the background and didn’t want to take too much focus from the star itself. I added a couple of cut off pieces of paper under the photos. I chose a little rocket and plane from the embellishment pack and raised them up of foam pads. I then found the little globe card, which has the quote “every great dream begins with a dreamer” and decided to use this as my title instead of adding any alphas.

Finally, I inked some of the stars out of the cut file with distress oxides and stuck them at the top of the page. I really love how it all came together for a dreamy, space themed page.

Thanks for looking, I hope it’s given you some ideas on how to use this lovely cut file.
