Sarah Packer – Bat Baby

Hello All

I am back with you today to share a layout I created using the lovely Batty Ring cut file.

I love Halloween and the cut file was just crying out to be used with this photo of my daughter dressed in her bat witch Halloween costume when she was nearly 2! Yes, that was 12 years ago and it’s taken me this long to scrap it!!

I raised the cut file up on foam pads and fussy cut around my daughter in the picture to make her look like she was sitting on the die cut. I added some ribbon from my vast Halloween stash to the plain edge just above the photo.  I added the haunted house and Fright sign die cuts from My Minds Eye Trick or Treat collection. I found the spooky tree in my buttons collection and thought it went well with the house for a spooky feel!

I flicked some purple ink to the top right and bottom left corners and I found a moon and stars in the same die cut pack. It makes it look like the bats are flying in the sky with them in the corner! I raised the larger star up on foam pads, just to give it a bit of dimension.

I didn’t want to take too much focus away from the bats on the cut file, so I added a few more little Halloween die cuts, a few tiny buttons, some black sequins and purple gems (I love a bit of bling!)
