One of a Kind – Scrapbook Page
Hi hi!
Well this layout is all kinds of different isn’t it?! If you saw my desk share last Wednesday you’ll have seen the beginnings of this page and all of the foam bits behind the photos.

I’d been having a paddy over some work and so I decided to push the computer away in a huff and find a challenge to do. I’ve been meaning to do one of the Scrap The Boys challenges for years now and it happened to pop up in my Instagram feed at just the right time. I picked out several potential photos and then grabbed the first bag of stash I came across that could work.

All I had left in the bag was one full sheet, 2 large pieces and a handful of die cuts so pretty much all of it went on the page. The sketch was all based on squares but I didn’t have the right configuration of stuff for that so I just laid out the die cuts as best I could and when I found the “One of a kind” piece I knew it was meant to be!

This particular bag was leftover bits from my last Go Go retreat (sob) and although the Maggie Holmes Heritage collection isn’t something I would have picked myself, I do love what I created that weekend. It was perfect for these daft pics of my Dad too. We were dropping off some shopping while he was shielding back in the first lockdown and he was pretending to be so unloved and starved. You can see how malnourished he is can’t you?! But look at that fine head of hair!! He was more upset about not being able to get his hair cut than anything else I think.

I really liked this sketch and I can see me using it again, perhaps with something more bright and modern and more me!
Stay safe and keep smiling x
