Lisa-Jane Johnson – Pumpkin Patch
I’m a big fan of Autumn and Halloween. It’s a season of texture and colour and I wanted to capture all of that in this layout. I used our “Fall Pumpkin” pre-cut file to show off the lovely display of pumpkins in my photo.

We were visiting Beaulieu for some spooky stories and Halloween activities and decorations so I took a fair few photos. Some of them I have scrapped with Halloween themed stash but here I wanted to concentrate on the autumnal vibe for this photo from the Victorian kitchens there.

One of my lovely customers got in touch to ask about this Silhouette cut file that she had seen on a layout by Zsoka Marko on the Fancy Pants blog. I immediately bought the commercial licence and cut it for myself too, purely in the name of a test cut, obviously….
I had created a little autumn themed kit for one of our barn retreats that included a few sheets of brand new (at the time) Echo Park Celebrate Autumn. To pad this out I matched in the yellows and oranges with some older Echo Park Reflections Fall, and some really old Halloween stash. I backed my cut file and it sat in my half-finished-pile for a few months.

A few months later one of my design team reminded me of it and “encouraged me” to complete the layout (they basically told me off…!) The burlap paper was the perfect backdrop because it gives a really subtle but interesting textural feel and goes so well with the theme. I added some bit and pieces from the stunning Simple Stories Vintage Halloween collection and a few enamel dots from the shop to pick out the turquoise to finish off.
Now I really want to go to a pumpkin patch and take more harvest photos!
