Laura Rumble – Travel Case Mini Album

Hi folks, Laura here with a mini album on a travel theme.

This Suitcase Mini Album  from Paige Evans comes as a pre-cut and is available in black, cream or white card.  I’ve used the white and added colour with the Distress Oxide inks and blending tool from the PMP shop.  You could easily use the pre cut template pieces to cut patterned paper to the right size and add your colour that way.

It goes together fairly intuitively. The fold lines are marked with a perforated line so fold very easily (and straight!!  No wonky folds from me is a first!)  The straps, loops and handle are simple to add.  You will need some thin extra strong double sided tape to adhere them, and to create the photo pockets.  The stronger the tape the better when it comes to constructing mini’s.  They do get handled so the adhesive is tested more than on a traditional layout.

I chose to embellish my mini album with stickers, washi and stamping; all flat embellishments so as not to add too much bulk to the album.  To be fair it is roomy enough for puffy stickers or enamel dots on the accordion pull out section.  My photos are one sided so the reverse makes the perfect spot for journalling and adding notes.
