Laura Rumble – Photo Op

Hi Crafters!  Laura here again with another super simple scrapbook layout.  It’s not that I’m skimping on my design team duties… it’s just that these Pretty My Page background cut files keep doing all the work for me!

I’m working with the ‘camera mesh’ digital cut file (pre-cut available here) which I have cut on navy blue cardstock.  I’ve pre-made my background spraying some Minc reactive mist on to a white 12×12.  I left this overnight to dry and then ran it through my Minc foiling machine with some mint green foil.

I used a little glue to add the cameras to the background but to add extra texture (and be extra safe) I ran a line of wide zig-zag stitching through the middle of each camera using a white thread.  I added the photo and my title using chipboard Thickers.  I had to do a little alpha surgery – did you know two F’s can make an H? 

It’s worth looking at your sheet of half used alphas with a curious eye.  Most letters can be adapted in some way to create another letter.  I have a cheat sheet to start you off… I’m spotting new ones all the time!

Then came the tricky part…  how do I embellish this layout?  I don’t want to cover any more of the foiling because it’s gorgeous or any more of the cameras because I love them too!  I added a column of five enamel dots next to the photo just as a small feature and decided that was enough.
