Family Feast – Scrapbook Layout

Hi hi!

I seem to be swinging from Christmas to Halloween and back again. At some point I might catch up and and share some layouts that are neither of the two. Today though it is Christmas again.

I know for sure that this layout was completed for a moodboard challenge in the July Go Go cyber crop. Yes I said July. Yes I’ve had this pile for quite a while now – don’t judge me. As for the placement, I have no idea. It’s unlikely to be something I would have come up with myself but who knows, it was so long ago.

The photos are from 2015 on our usual Christmas Eve family gathering. It’s very strange to look back on our dining room with it’s maroon curtains, dark wood and strange inlays on the walls as that was our first Christmas in this house and we had the lounge / diner renovated the following spring. It’s funny looking back, and is one of the many reasons why I scrapbook.

I’ve tried to keep to Shimelle’s Christmas Magic for all of 2015 – I’ve utilised the 12×12 camera paper by fussy cutting most of it to use for embellishments, as I have here. I also used another of the lovely tuckies – the houses were perfect for the theme. I’m not normally a sparkly person but I did go rather mad with the glitter here didn’t I?! The glitter ribbon is by American Crafts, the Thickers are Fitzgerald I think, and of course I had to finish off with a sprinkle of Bramble Fox stars.

Back to Halloween tomorrow!

Stay safe and keep smiling x
