Emilie Chamel – Guest Designer – Working with Multiple Cut files
Hi everybody! Emilie here to share with you my third and last layout as a guest Designer for the month of March for Pretty My Page.

For my layout I wanted to create something special and very different and really make the cut files the stars and centre of attention. How did I do that I hear you ask! Well, I decided to only use white: white cardstock, velum, alphas and mixed media. I chose to work with three cut files which I thought perfectly complemented each other: Scribbled circle, Pansy Cluster and Large Butterfly. (The pre-cuts are available here for Scribbled Circles, Pansy Cluster and Large Butterfly.)

I started by creating a little bit of texture on my background by using some white modelling paste through a stencil and then placed the Scribbled circle on top of it with sticky foam pads.
I backed the pansies and the butterflies with velum to create texture and detail.

I went with a black and white photograph in order to not take away from the overall page and then placed the flowers and butterflies above the circle in a way that would frame my photograph.
I then stamped my journaling with white embossing powder. I love that anyone looking at the page would have to pay close attention in order to see it and read it.

I finished off with white also has for my titles and a couple of well placed white gems for added bling.
I love this layout and how it turned out. I especially love the fact that with three cut files and a couple of sheets of cardstock I was able to produce a striking page. This goes to show that we don’t need the latest collections as long as we have cleverly designed cut files!

I hope you found some inspiration here on using your cut-files and and your sheets of cardstock. Thank you for having me and looking forward to hearing more from all of you!
