Emilie Chamel – Guest Designer – Smile – XOXO cutfile

Hi everybody! I am back to share with you my second layout as a guest Designer for the month of March for Pretty My Page and once again I have a process video available for you on my YouTube Channel here.

For this layout I chose to work with the XOXO cut file (pre-cut here) as I knew it would take the main focus of the layout and would limit the amount of embellishments I would need to use. I backed-up all the Os with colourful paper scraps. What a great way to use-up the bits of paper we have leftover!

I then stamped some XOs on the the cutfile with small alpha stamps and stamped some bigger XOs in the same colours as my papers to use as extra embellishments.

I mounted my cut-file onto my page with sticky foam pads to create volume and depth. Next I added my photograph and some embellishments around my page. I finished off by adding some stitching to create texture.

I love that this cut-file drove the story of this layout and allowed me to follow a directive without having to think to much.
