Eeek! Spiders! Scrapbook Layout

Hi hi!

Today we have the third and final layout for my Crop In The Country class last October. This one I had no choice but to go full on Halloween – when the papers call, you must respond. And yes, that is a penguin sat at our table… thank you Penguin Class teacher for this… He even came to the zoo with us…

This was one of those layouts where every cm mattered, to the point that it was designed to be put on a spare sheet to hold it all together. I keep a good stock of spoiled sheets or ones that are not to my taste etc for just such occasions. They keep everything square too. The papers that I had left were quite dark other than the white and black eye one so I made sure to put a strip of that between the black cobweb paper and the potions paper for differentiation. I used another branding strip at the top to pull out the mustard colour in the collection and then tried to find the more colourful die cuts to sprinkle around and pull out the pink, mustard and duck egg blue hiding in the potions paper.

To finish off, I sprinkled some of the large white sequins around the 3 clusters for some texture and dimension and added some of that “difficult” gold string. Even being stapled into place, it still wanted to go off and find its friends elsewhere. Tsk.

It may not be my favourite layout but it was a great one for using up the left overs from the kit and it’s another layout in the album and another photo scrapped. I’ll take that!

Stay safe and keep smiling x
