Claire Murphy – Once Upon A Time

As part of Alpha Attack series on YouTube, I had this idea for a design of a storybook with using Thickers for the title. I could never hand cut anything that looks like a book. So I used a cut file that will be released in the shop here in November to help bring my ideas to life. I removed the words and made the image bigger so it gave me plenty of space to add in my title.This cut file would also lend itself to journalling. It would be a great way to tell a story of a photo and would give you a natural position in order to add your journalling.
The cut file can be tricky to stick down however as demonstrated on my YouTube video you can apply the wet glue using a sponge which helps spread it more evenly giving a better result.

I teamed this cut file up with the Amy tangerine Shine On collection and tried to use the space around the photo without covering too much of the cut file. I then added some tiny word stickers outside of the cut file in order to embellish it without detracting from the main book design.
I love how it pops on the black card stock and would even like to try it cut in different colours and mounted on white card stock too. Adding the white doodly border around the edge really helps to add another element of white on the layout whilst also helping to contain it all.
