Laura Rumble – Christmas Card – Candy Cane & Holly Sprig
Hi Guys! Laura here sharing a cute Christmas card using a couple of the cut files that were designed for Diecutting Essentials. They are available here on the website with the added bonus of getting them free with the code you can find in issue 58 of the magazine.

I’ve used the Holly and part of the Candy Cane Stripe Border.
I pulled out some Shimmerz original paints which are packed full of chunky mylar glitter. I painted a wobbly line in red making sure it was wider than the stripe border cut file and that the edges were uneven and interesting. Whilst that was drying I painted both parts of the holly cut file.

I stamped a small greeting above the red paint line using StickerKitten’s Alpaca Wishes stamp set. I also added a few gold paint splatters… gold paint is always a good idea on Christmas crafts! I cut small strips of foam adhesive and attached it to the back of the border and adhered it above the red paint. The final step is layering up the holly pieces slightly offset and adhering them over the border carefully popping up any pieces that need support with more foam adhesive.

We hope we’ve given you plenty of different ways to use the 5 files that were designed for the magazine. Please do tag us if you create anything with based on the inspiration or using any of the cut files from the website.
Happy crafting!
